Ruben van Schalm focuses in his photography on the male figure who is frequently set against natural environment. In this exhibition we focus only on the later - nature. van Schalm works expand the idea of paradise as an unspoiled and peaceful. Instead he captures the landscapes in their authentic, documentary manner which reveals the mysterious side of nature. van Schalm vision of paradise conveys a spectrum of emotions from the softest to the roughest. Paradise is more than a subjective photographic project, but also an invitation to each of the viewers to create their own.
